What do you do at Home Property Lawyers
I am part of the residential conveyancing department running a caseload of sale and purchase files, where I correspond with estate agents, solicitors and clients.
What’s your career background?
I originally started working in a conveyancing admin role in 2015, where I worked my way up to conveyancing assistant working in a small conveyancing team. As an assistant I was trained on the conveyancing process until I was eventually running my own files efficiently. From there I moved onto specialise in New Build plot sales in early 2018, where I spent the year acting for a national developer running a high caseload of files from instructions through to completion. In that year I gained a vast knowledge on new build transactions but ultimately learned that residential conveyancing is where my passion lies.
Although the conveyancing process is relatively the same the diversity of work involved in Conveyancing keeps the job interesting and makes it so you are always learning something knew everyday. Although New Build conveyancing interested me, I missed the diversity of residential conveyancing and the everyday interactions with clients, which I am enjoying at Home Property Lawyers.
What do you love about working at Home Property Lawyers?
I have found that the people I work with day in and day out are a friendly bunch who are always willing to help each other out which makes it a positive atmosphere to come into work. I am happy with the fact that Home Property Lawyers have a clear path of progression and training to help all members of staff which differs from some of my previous firms. I am excited to continue my career within Home Property Lawyers.
What makes your house a home?
I would have to say my dog, Holly, makes my house a home, I love walking in the door to be greeted by her.
