What do you do at Home Property Lawyers?
I oversee a team of Conveyancers and their Assistants. I also run a small number of files including sales, purchases, Probate sales, re-mortgages and Transfer of Equity. I can act in new build properties and unregistered properties. I help my Team to reach each client’s requirements as efficiently as possible.
What’s your career background?
I started my working life on a Modern Apprenticeship in Business Administration. I had a short period of being a Holiday Rep in Kos. My Conveyancing career started at another local firm of Solicitors as a Junior Assistant. I moved to Langleys/Home Property Lawyers in 2004 as a Junior Conveyancer. From there I have climbed the ladder and in 2012 I was promoted to be a Team Manager.
I often refer to Conveyancing as Marmite – you either love it or hate it! I like that each client/case is different and how sometimes situations arise that I have not encountered before even though I have many years of experience. Moving house is, and I speak from experience, an incredibly stressful time and it’s so rewarding when your client moves into their new home or reaches the desired outcome. You almost feel like celebrating with them. Of course, not all matters are happy occasions and I like to think I offer empathy to any situation.
What do you love about working at Home Property Lawyers?
Working as a Team. The Team here really do pull together and support one another.
