My role encompasses a wide range of tasks supporting the conveyancing department and the administration team as a whole. I assist with producing quotations for new and existing clients enquiring about the use of our services. I also assist my manager with the general running of the administration team and deal with any queries or further training for the newer members of the team in administration processes. I enjoy taking on some of the more complex queries for the administration team and like to be the go-to person in the application of non-standard search products on purchase transactions.
I graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2010 with a degree in Media Technologies and decided to stay in Lincoln after my studies had finished. I have predominantly worked in customer service related retail and office positions prior to working for Home Property Lawyers, which gave me plenty of transferrable experience and the relevant skills needed for working in the conveyancing industry.
I didn’t really know a lot about conveyancing prior to working for Home Property Lawyers as I had never purchased a property myself. Now that I have gone through the process myself and understand the industry more, it gives you the opportunity to progress your career into a variety of different roles and can allow you to specialise in whatever aspect of conveyancing you find the most interesting.
Home Property Lawyers have recently implemented a variety of different policies and support services that focus on wellbeing and mental health support. This really does make you feel valued and demonstrates that the firm can see the importance of flexibility when it comes to work-life balance and the need for accessibility to these services for the well-being of all employees.
